About the Commonwealth Youth Exchange Programme

Launched at the end of 2020 with our partner, Clarion Futures, the Commonwealth Youth Exchange Programme is an opportunity for young Commonwealth citizens, aged between 18 and 25 to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences on key global issues and develop social action projects that will create positive change in their community, all whilst developing life-long friendships.

As part of the programme participants have the opportunity to develop connections with young people from a different culture and background, whilst also seeking to identify and celebrate common values, shared experiences and challenges.

Participants are also provided with the tools and training by leading experts to equip them to develop and lead on a social action project that will create a better world. In the pilot between young leaders in Cyprus and UK projects addressed issues such as mental health, sustainability, access to education and poverty.
