
Wilfred Luiramo is the Royal Commonwealth Society Regional Coordinator for the Pacific and country lead for the Solomon Islands in the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign. He lives in Rarumana in Western Province, but he originally came from Fataleka and Kwara'ae in Malaita Province, Solomon Islands. He has been an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society since 2015.
Wilfred is the Founder of the Ocean Servant Foundation, a Solomon Islands registered charity focused on cleaning the local marine environment, specifically plastic pollution, a growing problem for many island states in the Commonwealth.

The Ocean Servant Foundation runs pick-up events across the Solomon Islands and does awareness work with local communities. It focuses on education about the issue and trying to change behaviours around waste disposal.
In addition to the Ocean Servant Foundation, Wilfred owns Haleta Seaweed and is the Chairman of Special Olympics Solomon Islands.


He has previously acted as the University of the South Pacific Students’ Association Regional Representative to the University of the South Pacific Council (2014-2016), Interim Chair of the Forum Solomon Islands International (2017-2018), Outreach Director Special Olympics Solomon Islands (2018-2021) and Prime Minister to the National Youth Parliament (2018).
