Evgenia Chamilou is a recently qualified Lawyer specialising in Public International Law and Human Rights, who is particularly active in the areas of youth involvement, environmental peacebuilding, and climate diplomacy. In the past, she worked for the European Parliament, European Court of Human Rights at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and the International Law Section at the Law Office of the Republic of Cyprus. She has been a UN Youth Champion for Environment and Peace, the Delegate of Cyprus at the 2021 and 2022 Youth4Climate Summits. She is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society, a Youth Delegate of Cyprus to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, and a nominated Young European of the Year for 2022. Most recently, she co-founded the Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change in Cyprus (LCOY Cyprus) endorsed by YOUNGO/UNFCCC. Recently, she was elected as the President of the Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY non-governmental organisation and served as the 5th President of the Youth House of Representatives.
